Lots of creative costumes this year! Wtches, devils gnomes, flying purple people eaters, a chain of command, and (scariest of all) a P note!!
It was so inspiring to watch all the quartets and choruses compete in Las Vegas! Even better - we got to have fun hanging out with our chorus friends, grazing on snacks and trying to guess who would win. (Based on our results, we're not expecting to be invited to judge internationals any time soon.) Karen also demonstrated a new idea for how we can all get crowns. The crown looks awesome, but there isn't money in the costume budget for us all to get wearable iPads. Guess we'll just have to keep practicing our singing, instead!
As usual, WRS members came up with the most interesting and creative Halloween costumes and threw a great party!
On December 12th, the WRS Christmas Chorus spent the day singing for the communities of Franklin and Shelbyville. From Assisted Living facilities to the Historic Artcraft Theatre, we sang a variety of songs, including some from our chorus repertoire. We sang on the square in Shelbyville, so pleased that the weather was in the 60s - a delight in December.
